Formula 1 racing is all about speed, technology and innovation. We thought we would apply the same principles to F1 publishing in order to help fans avoid having to wait days - and even weeks - to read in-depth about each Grand Prix. In this day and age, the Internet will give you an idea what happened, but how do you know that the people writing on the Web were even there?
Grand Prix + is a magazine for passionate F1 fans. Long-established motor sport writers Joe Saward and David Tremayne have joined forces with celebrated F1 photographer Peter Nygaard to bring you the latest cutting edge electronic magazine. Between them they have the cumulative experience of more than 1000 Grands Prix - and they continue to attend every race.
Grand Prix + is a full-colour e-magazine, produced in Portable Document Format (PDF). It features all the things which one would expect from a normal F1 magazine: news, reports, features and perspectives of each F1 weekend, plus great photography. It is published as quickly as possible after each Formula 1 race and varies from between 65 to 85 pages, depending on our mood. It is a completely organic magazine, which means that it grows during a weekend and is not pre-planned, so it is very flexible. Our current speed record is three and a half hours after a race. Each weekend is a race for us...
Grand Prix + explores a new and atypical ‘landscape’ format, designed to be read easily on computer screens. This opens up a whole range of new design options and facilitates optimal use of great photography. GP+ was recognized for its innovation in 2007 with the Newspress New Media Award from the Guild of Motoring Writers.
The delivery depends on the speed of production and the time zones involved. In any case you will have your GP+ by Monday 0900 GMT at the very latest, even if we have to fly to a different country to avoid firewalls (as happens).
